JAGA Scholarship Trustee Meeting - May 17th, 2011

Call  To Order - Bob Streightiff called the meeting to order at 9.00am

The main focus of the meeting was to review and agree upon all the various documents that have been created to govern the Trust. The documents are now available on the web site for all to review. The latest official change was a unanimous vote to turn the operation of the Trust over to the current JAGA Executive committee. (See March 8th, 2011 meeting notes for details).

There are some problems with adding officers to the check Trust cashing privileges so Joe Powers agreed to try and resolve this with the Bank.

One correction in the documents referred to above is that the title “President” should be changed to “Chairman”.

There was a brief conversation about the legality of creating “reserves” in the JAGA accounts but in the end it was deemed a correct accounting procedure.

Possible Money transfers from JAGA to the Trust will take place at year end when we see what monies are available. The “Trust” golf tournament later on this year will help raise awareness and money for the Trust.
