JAGA Meeting - Blue Cypress Golf & Country Club

Officers Present:  Joe Power, Arch Copeland, Gary Owensby, Bob Streightiff Don Gilmore, Barney Poston & Tom Tierney

Call  To Order - Bob Streightiff called the meeting to order at 10:30 am.

Director Earl Kelly welcomed us.

Reports

Treasurer - we have $3500  in the current account. Statements are available on the web site. 

Our Bank has been changed to Wells Fargo. Paid up Clubs for 2012 were announced.  

Secretary - there were no corrections or comments on the previous meeting minutes.

VP Administration 

Joe Power briefly reviewed next year’s schedule. Officer’s duties will be reviewed.

Tournamens

Gary Owensby & Arch Copeland spoke about the Couples tournament. The 4-ball tournament was also reviewed.

Web Master

Barney is still working on the web site issues. He encouraged us to look around the JAGA web site.

Scholarships

Contributions to the Trust Fund - San Jose  gave a check for $1083 (received in December ’11). Deercreek members gave $300. Marsh Landing gave $92.  The Champions Club gave $500.

Old Business

The JAGA tournament schedule and a new “brouchure” were given out for display at Member Clubs.

Steve Wyand (Sawgrass CC) was awarded the “2011 JAGA Director of the Year”

New Business

Fred Seely talked about the new Golf Magazine

Tom Lawrence (1st Tee) announced he was expanding the program into additional counties.

Speaker: Keith Gockenbach - Champions Tour Player and author spoke about his career and gave some tips about the game of golf.
