Reports

Treasurer - we have about $12,000 in the current account but with various liabilities to be realized, notable a $4000 payment to Palencia.

Secretary - there were no corrections or comments on the previous meeting minutes. I received a late email from Earl Strickland requesting we note that last month the Country Club of Orange Park donated $3300 to the scholarship fund. There was no meeting last month so this was not reported.

VP Tournaments -

City Amateur - Jul 21 - 24 - the qualifier was cancelled. We have a full field and are ready to go.

Junior Tournament - Jul 28 - 29 - at the moment we do not have enough entries to justify the tournament so a last minute “push” will be made. Gary will keep us posted. We may not be able to continue with this event going forward.

VP Administration

Our next meeting will be at the Cimarrone Golf Club,

Our financials have been submitted to the IRS but they have requested more detail. We will comply and keep at it until our status is regularized.

Web Master

Bids are being collected for a site upgrade and help with the ongoing maintenance, Barney would like some help with the load.

Scholarships

We have 7 qualified scholars and the trustees will now act on the selection of the recipients.

Old Business

JAGA shirts are available. Freedom Fighter shirts are all spoken for but individual clubs should still have a supply.

June Financials are available and were briefly reviewed..

New Business

The Treasurer position was discussed. Jerry Kay was recognized for his long tenure (ten years?) of top notch service and dedication. Jerry was presented with a financial gift to help him buy a new home computer.

Bob and his wife will now carry the ball for our accounts unless someone steps up. Who will run the monthly game is still an issue without a permanent solution

Several activities and personnel improvements at First Tee of St Johns county were reported.
