JAGA Directors Meeting Minutes
Marsh Landing County Club

President- Don Haws- called the meeting to order at 10:33 am with 37
directors and numerous guests. At this time President Haws introduced
Andy Pazder, Director of Administration for the PGA Tour, who read a letter from Tim Finchem, Director of the PGA, donating $5,000 to the JAGA Charitable Trust.
Secretary- Jim Edwards- report was approved with no corrections.
Treasurer- Jerry Kay- reported $8,838.55 in the bank, all bills paid. Report
approved.
Vice President Administration- Jim Andrews- announced the next speaker will be Earl Kelly, with a history of JAGA. He has requested help in obtaining any photos, ect. that pertains to JAGA’s early history. This meeting is at Oakridge Golf Club on April 20, 2004. The Hidden Hills meeting on May 25th will be the Pro, G.M., and Superintendents as guests. Mark McCumber will be the featured speaker. A letter is being sent to each club inviting them to the meeting. The November meeting slot has been filled by Cimarone Golf Club and a speaker is needed.
Vice President Tournaments- Lee Crowe- gave out hats, posters, and entry forms. Senior tournament is April 5,6, and 7 at Eagle Harbor. We need more players. Recommendation of a Skins Game by the Eagle Harbor MGA to benefit our scholarship program was taken under advisement by our Executive Committee. Senior Tournament Director, Warren Healy, will be advised.
Mid-Am Tournament Director- Bill Black- the tournament will be held at Deer Creek, no handicap divisions, scratch only. Also, President Haws noted there would be scoreboards on the course.
Father’s Day Tournament Director- Barney Poston- the tournament will take place at Hidden Hill Country Club on August 12th and 13th. It will be a Modified Pinehurst Tournament.
Juniors Tournament Director- Jim Andrews- this is now a points tournament.
Scholarship Chairman- Tom Tierney- May 1st cut off date for scholarship applications. The scholarship forms are on the web site. Plantation MGA donated $3,695.00 and Marsh Creek MGA donated $420.00 to the scholarship fund.

Director Marsh Landing- Ed McDonald- gave out certificates to Play Marsh Landing for Cart Fees.
Vice President Administration- Jim Andrews- introduced Ted Burfeind, FSGA Rules Official, who gave the highlights of the new USGA rule changes for 2004.
Pairing Director- Charlie Hoenstine- was not present and Bob Streightiff volunteered to help. We had 44 players.
