Directors Meeting Minutes

2/17/2004

 

 

President Haws - Called the meeting to order at 10:33 A.M. with 37 directors and numerous guests present.  Dean Blankenship, Director Timuquana CC, gave a check for $1,375.00 to the scholarship fund.

 

Jim Andrews, Vice President of Administration - Introduced Tommy Lee, Vice President of the TPC, as the guest speaker.  He spoke on the charity work that TPC does and how the volunteers make everything work.

 

Secretary, Jim Edwards - Addition to minutes concerning donated scholarship funds.  Tom Tierney is researching further.  Minutes approved.

 

Treasurer,  Jerry Kay - Reported $8,826.36 in bank.  There are 15 member clubs not paid for the year.

 

Vice President Administration, Jim Andrews -  Reported  next meeting 03/16/2004 at Marsh Landing, Oak Bridge on April 20th and May 25th at Hidden Hills with Pros, General Managers, and Course Superintendents invited.

 

Vice President Tournaments, Lee Crowe - Gave out corrected posters, entry forms, and hats to JAGA volunteers.

 

Seniors Tournament Chair, Warren Healy - Gave information on first tournament of the year and need for help.

 

Mid Amateur Chair, Don Haws -  Advised that tournament is at Deercreek and it is scratch only, no handicap divisions.

 

Earl Strickland - Advised the Michelob Ultra Orange Park Open would be held March 8th.

 

Scholarship Chairman, Tom Tierney - Received check for $1200.00 from Eagle Harbor MGA.

 

Old Business - Barney Poston needs information and pictures of all new directors for web site.  Ed Witten has shirts for new directors at $22.00.

 

New Business - None

 

Jim Edwards gave out pairings for Charlie Hoenstine and requested volunteers to help with the pairings.
