President Don Haws--Called the meeting to order to start JAGA’s 50th year anniversary.  There were approximately 40 directors and guests that attended.  President Haws introduced Stockton Rogers, PGA professional for Queens Harbor, who spoke to us briefly about the new greens and the condition of the course.  Two new directors were introduced, Joe Power of Eagle Harbor and John Milton of Mill Cove.

Secretary, Mike Cooper—Stepping down as Secretary, Jim Edwards has volunteered to assume these responsibilities.  Minutes of the last meeting are posted on our web site and were approved.

Treasurer, Jerry Kay--Reported all bills paid and approximately $7,000 in bank.  Report approved.

Vice President of Administration, Jim Andrews--Reported our next meeting will be at Timuquana Country Club on February 17.  Our March meeting will be at Marsh Landing and our May meeting will include course superintendents.  Arch Copeland is making name tags for directors and bag tags to be given out at our tournaments.  This will help put JAGA out front at all of our Jacksonville clubs.

Vice President of Tournaments, Lee Crowe--Handed out our new posters listing dates and sites for all our tournaments this year.  Our generic entry forms will be ready at our next meeting.  Our first tournament this year is the 47th Seniors on April 5th-7th at Eagle Harbor.  Warren Healey is the Tournament Chairman.  A change in divisions was suggested.   We would have a 50-59 age Senior, 60-69 Super Senior, and 70-above Grand Senior division.  The suggestion will be looked at and a decision made by our next meeting.

Scholarship Chairman, Tom Tierney--Reported that we have 24 students and he has mailed out 18 checks.  He is sure the other six will find him with their grades.  It was also noted that the Champions Club MGA donated $500.00 and Quail Heights MGA donated $300.00 to our scholarship fund at the Pro President Tournament last month.

Old Business-- Ed Witten has shirts and hats for sale.

New Business--Frank Brough reported that the Ravines Golf Club had a new local owner.  Jim Andrews advised our JAGA Directory is on our web site and ‘Thank You’ letters from our scholarship recipients will be posted there also.

President Haws introduced Andy Pazder, Director of Administration for the PGA Tour, as our guest speaker.  Andy spoke to us about orientation for Rookie Golfers on the Big Tour.  This included the rules to get into tournaments, ground rules for tournament exemptions, standard eligibility, disciplinary action, penalties, fines, and etiquette.
