Lee Crowe also reminded everyone that the Two-Man Championship is next month at Windsor Parke Golf Club. Scholarship Chairman, Thomas Tierney reported that all the new scholarship recipients have met the necessary requirements and that the existing scholars have sent him a copy of their grades. The following donations to our scholarship fund were made: Magnolia Point Golf Assoc. $600.00, Ponte Vedra Men's Golf Assoc. $4,000.00, Fernandina Beach $250.00, and Selva Marina $7914.00.

Old Business:

Jud Ammiano wants us to readdress the possibility of helping monetarily the assistant pros become class A professionals. This issue was tabled for now. In the past it was decided that since we are an amateur organization and currently fund 20 scholarships at $2000.00 per year that this is not something we should attempt to do. Further discussion indicated that there are several ways for these assistant pros to get help as far as the costs associated with becoming a class A professional.

Program

This month's program consisted of three presentations: President Don Haws gave the JAGA presentation, Ned Graff spoke for the club professionals, and Dave Steiglitz spoke for the club managers. This program was designed to help each group better understand each other and how each group relates to the North Florida golf community. After each person spoke there was a Q & A session. It was suggested that the next time we get all three groups together that we add a fourth group; the Greens Superintendents Association.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00a.m.
